The Basics of Memory Cards

Posted by Henry on February 16th, 2008

Simply put, memory cards are designed whereby they are inserted into a USB port, which can be located on a digital camera, MP3 player, PDA, mobile phone, computer, and other electronic devices. In the technical world, this memory card or memory stick is “non-volatile.” This means that any information, such as documents, photos, audio, or video stored on the USB memory card will remain there whether it is plugged in or not. Even if you have the card plugged into the port on your computer or other device, the data would still be stored whether the device is powered to the on or off position.

All types of electronic devices are made to use memory cards. Depending on the device, format of data being saved, and size of data would determine the type of memory card used. For larger files, you would need something robust such as the SDHC card. However, for smaller devices or files, the micro-sd would suffice. Once the information has been saved, the memory card can be inserted into other electronic devices. For example, if you have taken photos of your vacation and want to download them to your computer to edit and then share with family and friends, you would simply insert the card into the camera, save the files to the card, insert it into your computer (with or without an adapter depending on the system), and then download. As you can see, memory cards are valuable, saving people precious time.

Enhancement of color system in the inkjet printers

Posted by Henry on December 27th, 2007

Though printing with a laser jet printer is faster and with a dot-matrix printer is economic, many people prefer inkjet printer because of the print quality and above all the facilities for easy color printings provided by it. Moreover, the dot-matrix printers do not give you the liberty of printing graphics. Enhanced color modules are reasons for the rejuvenated popularity of Encad, inkjet printers that was facing stiff competition from Epson, Roland, HP and others in the market.

While the original color plan was only six colors, the Encad has now introduced 8 colors and you can add another four with additional bottles attached to the ink cartridge for the printer. The only necessity would be to add one time additional Encad parts like the remodeled cartridge that could accommodate 12 instead of the original six colors and few more pipe cables for inflow of the ink droplets to the printing head.

Following the path of the Encad, now the Eastern product Mimaki has also come up with enhanced color plan and they introduced the seven color system in the Mimaki JV2 130 model. The extra ink bottle was special black for preparing the master prints of the designs formed with the wide format printer. They are further enhancing the plans but few people come to know about them because of lack of proper publicity and advertisement.

You need not be apprehensive about huge expenses due to use of enhanced color plans involving more bottles of ink and spreads. With the introduction of the bulk ink system you have a method for introducing effective economy in your use of ink for your wide format inkjet printer.

Project Management Software - Simple Or Complex?

Posted by Henry on November 29th, 2007

While commercial world is fiercely competitive to day, you may invent and use new methods every now and then to remain in the competition and stay ahead of others. It is not that you have always to opt for complex techniques. Often people get better results using simpler yet more effective techniques. A question therefore is consistently raised whether management software like the time tracking management software you are going to opt for, will be really a simple one or a complex one.

It may so happen that even use of pen and paper could give better results in some cases. But you become obliged to use the project management software as part of the policy of the company though it may not be as convenient as they think it to be. Sometimes the software may prevent the supervisory officers from having important interpersonal contacts as it happens in case of the Microsoft Power point programs.

On many occasions, the project management software actually does not manage a discrete project. When software manages the marketing aspects that are going on for a product that has already hit the market, it does not involve management of any project. You can at best term the software used to manage this work as a task management software but not a project management software in the true sense.
